Took Brian Timm for a short hop in the T-craft and then returned to IA66 via the west route. Climbed to 3500', just below a broken layer and then dead sticked into IA66, RWY-18.
Flew to Blakesburg for the Antique Aircraft Assoc. annual convention. Stopped at OXV on the way home for fuel and met up with Paul Berge and his friend Curtis from California. Flew in formation with Curtis in Paul's champ on the way back to IA66 and got a couple of good photos. Paul had Cathy in the bi-plane. Apparently she likes flying in the open cockpit.
lew to Desoto (IA51) to check out the CT.They didn't have one! Met Bob Doyle and he followed me to BNW in his C152. We checked out the RV hangar. Met Kevin Horn and he showed me his C140. He also gave me a tour of the hangar where they have several RV's under construction.
I got back to IA66 a ltiile late and the handheld wouldn't work. I got ahold of Tom Lauda and he clicked the lights up for me.
